FAQS
The answers to your common questions
IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?
Yes, participants should be 4 or older. At this age, most can stand in the shallow end by themselves and participate respectfully in all our activities.
ARE THERE SIBLING DISCOUNTS?
Yes! For families with 3+ children there is a 10% courtesy available. Please visit the Discount page for more information.
WHAT ARE CLASS SIZES?
The shallow end will have around 13 students per class, and the deep end will have around 8 students. This is a great opportunity for children to make new friends without being overcrowded.
HOW DO LEVELS WORK?
Based on the Red Cross Learn to Swim program, there are 2 levels in the shallow end and 4Â levels in the deep end. We have enough staff and space to run all of these levels simultaneously and provide individual attention to each student.
ARE THE INSTRUCTORS CERTIFIED?
Watterson Pool School Instructors have either been certified through the Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Lifeguard, or they have completed a swim lesson program.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
Class cancellations will only happen in stormy weather; we can swim in the rain!! Watterson Pool School will post on facebook and send an email prior to your class start time to let you know if any cancellations have occurred.
